MENDOTA HEIGHTS,Minn. – (June 5, 2013) – Healthsense, Inc., a leading provider of aging services technologies, took top honors in the Clinical Effectiveness category of the 5th Annual iAwards for Connected Health from Triple Tree. The iAwards recognize companies that demonstrate insight, innovation and initiative in connected health.
“We are honored to be recognized by TripleTree, particularly given the outstanding offerings of our fellow iAwards nominees. This recognition validates our focus on providing aging services providers with the high quality wireless and cloud-based technologies that help them empower seniors to safely live as independently as possible,” said A.R. Weiler, President and CEO, Healthsense. “Connected health solutions have the potential to enrich lives while improving care and lowering costs. Our hope is that the attention this award places on connected health will encourage others to work with us to expand access to these transformative technologies.”
Nominees for the 2013 iAwards were evaluated on a range of criteria including uniqueness; marketplace traction; clinical, operational or consumer relevance; size of addressable market; and international presence across three categories: 1) operational effectiveness, 2) clinical effectiveness and 3) consumer engagement. All were featured at the Wireless-Life Sciences Alliance’s Convergence Summit, held in San Diego on May 28-30, 2013, which attracted more than 350 healthcare executives, innovators, thought leaders and investors from across the globe.
“Innovation in senior care has been a long standing area of interest for our team,” said Chris Hoffmann, Senior Director and Chief Marketing Officer at TripleTree. “Leveraging analytics, Healthsense has done a remarkable job of assessing and illustrating patterns of data about seniors that can improve care.”
