At ACC, Siemens Showcases Streamlined Workflow Features in syngo Dynamics

Siemens Healthcare will showcase a new version of its cardiovascular imaging and information system at the 62nd Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology from March 9 – 11, in San Francisco. From routine to advanced1 reading: the new version of syngo Dynamics (VA10A2) helps streamline workflows and optimize clinical utilization. Siemens is committed to delivering solutions to customers that improve the ability to deliver coordinated, sustainable care as part of Agenda 2013, a two-year global initiative of Siemens Healthcare to increase its competitiveness and innovative capacity.

With this new version, multiple users can now simultaneously enter documentation into the same study. As a result, physicians, nurses, and technicians can more efficiently team up to provide patient care, while utilizing additional documentation capabilities – at any stage of the procedure. Once documentation has been completed, enhancements to accessing prior studies and finalizing reports can accelerate report turn-around times. In addition, physicians can more efficiently monitor radiation dose, which greatly strengthens their ability to provide safe care to the patient. Improvements to the Electronic Whiteboard3 can increase flexibility of use, and enhance efficiency with the cardiovascular departments.

syngo Dynamics enhancements of this release are designed to provide healthcare providers with greater functionality and a more streamlined workflow, giving them the ability to focus on providing efficient, effective, and complete care for their patients.

1 syngo.via can be used as a standalone device or together with a variety of syngo.via-based software options, which are medical devices in their own right.
2 The product has United States Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance and will be commercially available in the United States in April 2013.
3 This feature is only available for sale in the United States and Canada.
