With eTransX, the Healthcare Industry Can Dramatically Reduce the Cost and Complexity of Exchanging CCR & CCD Files – #HIMSS12

Key members of the eTransX team, including the President & CEO P. Mohan, will be on at HIMSS12 hand demonstrating their new CCR/CCD Integration Engine and answer any questions.  This latest healthcare integration solution from eTransX is the first CCR/CCD integration engine on the market.  Its configuration driven approach and prebuilt function library dramatically reduce the cost and complexity of creating, sending and receiving CCR and CCD files. The ability to create and exchange CCR and CCD files efficiently will be critical in the success of creating an interoperable healthcare environment.

Nashville, TN, February 15, 2012 — eTransX, a leader in enterprise application integration solutions for the healthcare industry, today announced its CCR/CCD Integration Engine will be showcased at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference and Exhibition. The event will be held February 20-24 at the Venetian Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, NV.

The solution, which is being presented at Booth 6349, leverages innovations from the eTransX HEMI (Healthcare Enterprise Messaging and Integration) Engine to reduce the cost and complexity of creating and exchanging Continuity of Care Records (CCR) and Continuity of Care Documents (CCD).  Its configuration driven approach, along with its prebuilt function library allows the CCR/CCD Integration Engine to deliver time savings of 80-90 percent to its customers versus programmatically building the interface.

“Similar to HL7, CCD/CCR will change the way healthcare organizations exchange information and eTransX is proud to be an industry leader in providing support for this format.,” said P. Mohan, President and CEO of eTransX. “Our goal for the CCR/CCD Engine was to deliver on our brand promise – Making it Simple. Not only have we accomplished our goals, we have exceeded expectations.”

The CCR and CCD specifications are XML-based formats intended to standardize the capturing of patient data. The patient summary contains a core data set of the most relevant administrative, demographic, and clinical information facts about a patient’s healthcare, covering one or more healthcare encounters. These patient summaries are critical in the coordination of care as they allow all of the relevant patient information to follow that patient across all care settings.
