Anoto Announces Increased Presence of Digital Pen Technology at HIMSS12 Las Vegas

EHR adoption is continuing to gain momentum since the passage of the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act in 2009.  However, healthcare professionals continue to struggle with digitizing the vast amounts of patient data they need to capture each day. Some have turned to tablet computing or laptops; however, these solutions can be too complicated or too cumbersome because of the challenges associated with complex equipment, training and support. In addition, having to overhaul how physicians do their work day-to-day is a major barrier to EHR adoption.

Digital pen and paper is ideally suited to the new era of electronic health records, and partners in the Anoto network will be on site to share news, discuss customers using their solutions and the benefits of digital pen and paper technology for easy information transfer, compliance and streamlined processes.

This year’s show represents continued momentum with nine different partners highlighting the benefits of digital pen and paper technology for EHR adoption at numerous locations across the show floor

  • Alex, if you’re still interested in the process for setting up a digital pen solution, we’d be happy to provide you more information. The set-up process very much depends on the particular type of system you need and which partner solution you work with. Please review our healthcare reference cases here to get a better idea of how the technology is used: http://www.anoto.com/anoto-case-stories-2.aspx?cid=healthcare-cases-3

Also, feel free to contact Anoto’s Boston office at boston@anoto.com if you’d like us to refer you some Anoto partners that would be a best fit for your needs.

Thanks very much for your interest in Anoto technology.
