The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative’s Quality Data Center Receives ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 Certification

MAeHC Data Warehousing Solution Now Certified as EHR Module; Offers Comprehensive, Flexible and Automated Reporting Options for Providers

Waltham, Mass., November 29, 2011 – The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC), a pioneer and leader in healthcare delivery through health information technology, announced today that its Quality Data Center version 2.0 is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as an EHR Module on October 28, 2011 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC) works to deliver sustainable strategies and hands-on tactical support to bring together healthcare communities and improve healthcare delivery for patients and providers. With its Quality Data Center (QDC), a comprehensive, on-demand data warehousing solution, MAeHC helps organizations launch and sustain continuous improvement. The QDC seamlessly extracts and aggregates data from multiple clinical systems and provides timely feedback that helps clinical teams improve overall quality.

“We believe the ONC-ATCB certification of the MAeHC QDC solution marks a significant milestone for our quality reporting offering, and is very important for our clients seeking to qualify for meaningful use reimbursement,” said Micky Tripathi, CEO of the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative. “The QDC addresses a critical need in the market right now created by the limited reporting capabilities of most EHRs.  Our solution gives providers the flexibility to track a wide range of metrics and do their meaningful use reporting on the data that are most appropriate to their practice.”

The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
“CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives,” said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.

ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
