Children’s Medical Center Dallas has selected HCD to provide them with critical business intelligence tools.  Children’s intends to use our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Appliance in order to quickly gain deeper insight from all their data.  Children’s is the second leading pediatric healthcare organization to partner with HCD.  Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Columbus has been working with HCD since 2008.

(Columbus, OH) After a comprehensive search, Children’s Medical Center Dallas (Children’s) has selected Health Care DataWorks (HCD) to provide them with the business intelligence tools they need to view all of the data that runs throughout their organization. According to Children’s, HCD outranked the competition in experience with their underlying infrastructure and cost-effectiveness.  Children’s becomes the second leading pediatric healthcare organization to partner with Health Care DataWorks for their market-leading technology.  Nationwide Children’s Hospital of Columbus has been working with HCD since 2008.

Children’s intends to use HCD’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Appliance to provide them with the business intelligence solution they need to quickly gain deeper insight from their data.  The EDW appliance includes a robust healthcare enterprise data model, hundreds of standard reports and a number of pre-built dashboards and scorecards which will jumpstart their data warehouse strategy.  Implementation of HCD’s EDW Appliance will provide Children’s with an integrated, consolidated view of their clinical, financial, operational and research data with an initial focus on revenue, productivity and quality.

“Healthcare organizations that do not have a flexible and proven data warehousing program in place are at a disadvantage in today’s marketplace.  They simply don’t have the actionable knowledge that allows them to make the decisions that enable higher quality results and lower costs,” explained Detlev H. (Herb) Smaltz, Health Care DataWorks CEO.  “Health Care DataWorks EDW solution will provide Children’s Medical Center with immediate results that have real impact while saving them both time and money.”

“We looked at a number of different providers before deciding that HCD had the solutions we are looking for,” said Christopher Menzies MD, Chief Medical Information Officer at Children’s.   “We are confident that HCD understands the needs of a pediatric healthcare organization, such as ours, and that their tools can provide us with the actionable knowledge we want to make decisions that improve the quality of care we provide our patients. “
