Accumedic’s AccuMed EMR Receives ONC-ATCB Certification by Drummond Group

Great Neck, NY, June 29, 2011 – Accumedic Computer Systems’ AccuMed™ v12.10 Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system has received the federal government’s “meaningful use” stamp of approval and has been certified as a Modular EHR by the Drummond Group.  This certification officially designates the electronic health record (EHR) software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

AccuMed EMR has been specifically designed to streamline front and back office workflows while improving the consistency and reliability of medical documentation.  AccuMed EMR enables providers to easily manage the entire process from initial appointment to electronic documentation and the creation of accurate and compliant claims.  With virtually instant access to the information, workflow is streamlined, patient care is improved, operating costs are reduced and profitability is increased.

“The certification validates that AccuMed EMR can help providers take part in the electronic revolution that is reverberating across the healthcare industry,” said Mark Kollenscher, Chief Executive Officer, Accumedic Computer Systems, Inc.  “Healthcare providers can now leverage our software to not only make significant care improvements, but to also achieve meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds under ARRA.  We are proud to offer providers the opportunity to truly improve care in their communities.

“With more than 30 years of experience, we look forward to continuing to deliver innovative, reliable and practical solutions that leverage information technology to deliver the benefits of improved quality of care, secure and easily accessible data management and more efficient daily office operations,” he added.

Tested and certified under the Drummond Group’s Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the EHR software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.  Healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology — a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
