Nashville Medical Trade Center Leadership Team Expands

—Industry veteran, commercial real estate expert to respond to increasing interest —

DALLAS – July 16, 2010 – Market Center Management Company, the management company of leading trade centers and trade events around the world, today announced the expansion of the management team for the Nashville Medical Trade Center.  To respond to increasing interest, joining the project are Mike Murphy as well as the resources of Jeff Haynes and the Nashville office of Boyle Investment Company.  Both Murphy and Haynes join David Osborn, General Manager, based in Nashville.

Mike Murphy joins Nashville Medical Trade Center as Senior Advisor and will be responsible for securing long-term lease agreements by leading global health care companies.  As well, he will contribute to the strategic planning regarding the development and management of the trade center.

Murphy has worked in the health care industry for more than three decades, including key executive positions at several health care companies including manufacturing, distribution, healthcare services and supply chain management.  Most recently, Murphy was the founder/CEO of Dominic & Irvine Research, a leading market research company focused solely on health care.  The company was acquired by MedAssets in 2006; he served as president until 2008.  From 2009-2010, Murphy was selected the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and served on the board of several prominent companies including the Institute of Healthcare Executives and Suppliers (IHES) and Med-Cap Partners.

Jeff Haynes brings the commercial real estate experience and unique resources of Tennessee-based Boyle Investment Company to the project.  He joins the leasing team with special responsibility for regional healthcare and health services companies.

Haynes has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 25 years, 16 of which were with the Trammell Crow Company.  Since the opening of the Boyle office in Nashville in 2001, Haynes has been responsible for the development of more than 1 million square feet of office and retail facilities, including headquarters for several Nashville based companies, and more than 5 million square feet of property in the planning and development stages including key healthcare projects.

“We are pleased to expand our leadership team as more and more companies seek ways to participate,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO of Market Center Management Company.  “The unparalleled business value of permanent space is an appealing motivation for companies large and small seeking to maximize sales channels while controlling expenses.”

The Nashville Medical Trade Center, opening in early 2013, is a 1.5 million square foot healthcare marketplace that unifies for the first time permanent showrooms, temporary exhibition space, and education and training facilities.  The result is a comprehensive global marketplace for healthcare products, solutions and services.
