The Advantage is Here: Versus Technology, Inc. at HIMSS11

(Traverse City, Michigan, February 15, 2011) – Versus will be exhibiting at the 2011 Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS11) conference, booth 3252, Monday, February 21 through Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Attendees are invited to speak with veteran Versus customers and discover the true benefits of Real-Time Locating Solutions (RTLS) under the “The ADVANTAGE is Here” banner.

This year at HIMSS11, Versus is offering attendees several get-back-to-the-basics opportunities to help attendees understand what RTLS is, how the systems work, where they are most useful and how they can be used to achieve greater safety and efficiency within healthcare. Alongside, Versus will be validating more advanced RTLS applications including Hand Hygiene Compliance (HHC), automated bed management, pervasive computing and how to automatically collect and document data for Core Quality Measure reporting required for Meaningful Use.

In particular, there are two sessions those interested in RTLS will not want to miss:

  • Sharon Boothe-O’Connor, Systems Analyst for Memorial Healthcare System, will present “Repurposing RTLS: Patient Tracking to Automated Bed Management” Tuesday, February 22nd, from 9:45-10:45 AM. Attendees at this Education Session are eligible for ACHE, CME and CPHIMS continuing education credit.
  • Versus’ President, HT Snowday, will present “Pervasive Computing in Healthcare with RTLS” at Microsoft’s booth (#3101) on Tuesday, February 22nd, from 11:30-12:30 AM.

Back at Versus’ booth (#3252), Ms. Boothe-O’Connor and her colleague, Ms. Brenda Joslyn, RN, Manager of Nursing Services at Eastern Maine Medical Center’s CancerCare of Maine will be available to answer questions regarding their experiences with Versus’ RTLS for clinical automation. Stop by to say hello or call Versus to schedule private discussions. At the Versus booth, attendees may select a free sample from Versus’ new Clearview™ Badge product line which, for the first time, makes healthcare RTLS badges available to customers in any color.

Finally, for those who look forward to HIMSS as a platform to uncover new innovations in healthcare technology…look no further! Versus will be unveiling an advanced clinical location communication platform. This new location communication mechanism allows Versus to provide the same clinical-quality chair-level location information it has always delivered, but with an option for a wireless backhaul. With installation flexibility, Versus is able to provide unparalleled convenience, without sacrificing accuracy, reliability or timeliness. Versus will be demonstrating its new Enterprise View Mobile (EVM) application which makes Versus’ RTLS software available for customers using mobile devices like the iPad and iPhone. Free downloads of EVM are available from the iTunes store.

These products represent Versus’ 10th generation of Infrared and RFID locating solutions and will help usher in a new era of efficiency in healthcare. Versus looks forward to sharing these innovations and customer success stories with all HIMSS11 attendees. Don’t forget: Locate your Advantage at booth #3252, and follow Versus on Twitter @VersusTech throughout the show for updates and event reminders.
