TigerText Brings Secure Messaging to the Enterprise

Leader in HIPAA-Compliant Secure Messaging Solutions Announces Several Major Health Care Enterprise Customers Wins

SANTA MONICA, CA, (February 26, 2013)- TigerText, Inc., the leader in secure compliant real-time text messaging for the enterprise, today announced that in early 2013 it won four system-wide contracts with large U.S. health care organizations, including new clients Adventist Health California, Scottsdale Health Partners, Stamford Hospital, and University of Kentucky HealthCare.  These new additions, which comprise over 20,000 subscribers, join a rapidly expanding client base that includes more than 350 facilities across 37 states.

TigerText, which was launched in 2010, is a privately funded company that has raised more than $10 million to solve the secure communication challenge for enterprise organizations. The company has experienced rapid growth as its industry leading HIPAA-compliant communication platform and application have been widely adopted.  TigerText’s technology is used to secure communication between health care staff, doctors and patients, and to allow the sharing of large files such as critical lab reports – a solution that had previously been unavailable given strict industry regulations.

“This is a testament to the need Tiger Text is filling for the most important industry in the U.S. Having such esteemed customers entrust their daily communications to TigerText is a terrific validation of our product and our people,” said Brad Brooks, TigerText, founder and CEO.   “With the advent of SaaS, the Cloud and Mobility, TigerText stands at the epicenter of an opportunity to fundamentally improve the way daily healthcare communication occurs while saving money for enterprises through faster response times and better compliance.”

TigerText allows organizations to embrace text messaging with its HIPAA compliant application and secure messaging platform.  With its easy-to-use interface, organizations that deploy TigerText realize high adoption rates and improved communication with their workforce, ultimately leading to improved patient safety and physician satisfaction.  To support these large deployments, TigerText developed an Active Directory/LDAP integration to leverage existing user management systems, providing a huge benefit when implementing large enterprise customers with thousands of users.

“After a long and thorough search of the marketplace, TigerText is the most mature solution that offered the features and flexibility to best meet our needs,” says Faron Thompson, CIO for Scottsdale Health Partners. “Even in the early stages of our implementation, TigerText has made real-time communication between our physicians easier, enabling them to collaborate more efficiently and effectively regarding patient care.”

TigerText will be announcing several key strategic initiatives at the upcoming HIMSS 2013 conference in New Orleans March 3-7, 2013 (Booth #4771).
