Voalte and American Nurse Today Partner to Launch Survey Examining Clinical Communications

New survey focuses on clinical communications challenges, tools
SARASOTA, Fla. (Jan. 23, 2013) – Voalte, the leader in clinical communications, and American Nurse Today, the official journal of the American Nurses Association, have partnered to conduct the first clinical communications survey to help the healthcare world better understand the voice of the bedside clinician.
The 2013 Clinical Communications Survey will examine the current communications challenges faced by staff clinicians. Participants in the survey will be asked questions about how their clinical staff currently communicates, the communications tools currently used, how those devices are currently managed, along with the daily communications challenges facing clinical staff. The results of the survey will reveal a clear snapshot of the day-to-day lives of clinicians in the field and help create a roadmap for improving clinical communications.
“Nurses are the lifeblood of the clinical care system and it is important they are able to communicate with each other effectively during critical situations,” said Voalte CEO Rob Campbell. “We hope through this survey we learn more about how nurses are communicating and the communications challenges they face. We hope the results can be a catalyst for improving point-of-care communications.”
Voalte and American Nurses Today will be conducting the clinical communications survey beginning Jan. 21, 2013 through Feb. 15, 2013. Participants who take the survey may be eligible to enter a drawing to win a new iPad mini.
“We encourage all nurses to spend a few minutes to take this very important survey and let their voices be heard,” said Greg Osborne, Group Publisher and President of HealthCom Media, publisher of American Nurse Today. “The results will allow the entire healthcare industry better understand the role of clinical communications and help shape the future direction of clinical communications technology.”
