OTTR™ Chronic Care Solutions Signs Agreement with Porter Adventist Hospital to Deploy OTTR Transplant Care Platform Uniquely Deployed in a Cloud Environment Integrated to CORHIO

A revolutionary state-of-the-art integrated cloud based transplant system

OMAHA, Nebraska (April 18, 2012) – OTTR™ Chronic Care Solutions, an Omaha-based clinical process management and informatics company, announced that they have signed an agreement with Porter Adventist Hospital.

Porter Adventist Hospital will use the OTTR™ Transplant Care Platform comprehensively across all their transplant programs. In addition to using the unique cloud deployed OTTR™ Transplant Care Platform, Porter will use the TRA module for interfacing information to United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). Furthermore, Porter will enhance overall productivity using OTTR Interoperability tools such as external lab integration, transcription, and more.

“We wanted to fully leverage technology to support our clinical workflow and regulatory compliance.  OTTR will allow us to push the envelope and track everything we do.  OTTR is installed in a cloud environment which is a first for any transplant center and is fully interfaced.  Our staff will access OTTR via iPads for donor calls, outreach clinics, inpatient rounds, selection committee, and to complete CMS required forms,” said Alan Qualls, director of Transplant Services at Porter Adventist Hospital. “We easily customized it to support some of our other needs like tracking hepatology and hepatobiliary patients.”

According to COO Paul Markham, “With this unique deployment, OTTR Chronic Care Solutions seeks to change the face of transplant healthcare once again, affecting numerous clinical areas and stakeholders. Firstly, using a cloud deployment improves the overall system productivity for the hospital while reducing the total cost of ownership. Secondly, integration to the CORHIO driven by the Aetna health information exchange will markedly improve patient, payer, and provider access to patient-centered information across Colorado. Finally, through semantic interoperability and mobile technologies such as the iPad, corollary improvements are expected in the patient’s clinical care outcomes.”

Markham continued, “Decades prior to this breakthrough announcement, OTTR and transplant care in general, led the healthcare IT world in patient centered accountable care, lab and cross-provider EMR interoperability. This latest deployment raises the bar to a new level.”
