Nation’s PQRS Leader, Covisint, a Compuware Company, to Outline Best PQRS Practices at HIMSS12 – #HIMSS12

Covisint to Help Healthcare Organizations Understand Benefits and Answer Questions on Submitting for This Important Incentive

DETROIT–February 17, 2012–Covisint, a Compuware (Nasdaq: CPWR) company, today announced that it will at HIMSS12 outline best practices for healthcare organizations to submit for PQRS incentives using Covisint. The interactive presentation will help leaders at health organizations understand what’s involved with this process, as well as the options, possible penalties and date requirements for PQRS.

“PQRS is a lucrative-yet-misunderstood topic, and we will show how little effort is involved and how great the returns often are for Covisint customers,” said David McGuffie, President and COO of Covisint. “We have been the nation’s undisputed PQRS submission leader for two years, and our customers regularly tell us how easy Covisint’s PQRS process is.”

This HIMSS12 learning session will focus on three key objectives:

1. what PQRS is and why it’s worth the time;

2. submission options and timeframes; and,

3. penalties for not submitting.

Who should attend: Health administrative professionals seeking best practices for PQRS submissions and ROI business drivers

When, where: 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21 and 7:30 a.m. on February 22, 2012, in the Palazzo Suite 3716 of the Venetian Sands Expo and Convention Center

Covisint’s PQRS solution was last year’s leading PQRS reporting service with more than 5,600 successful submissions–representing a 63 percent uptake from the previous year. More than 90 percent of last year’s submitters plan to do so again this year, and 95 percent who submitted through Covisint last year plan to leverage the company’s PQRS solution once again.

Last year’s submissions earned an average $2,000 per provider and $18,500 per practice. The PQRS submission process–formerly called PQRI–has recently been updated, and Covisint has incorporated all the changes required for 2011 submissions while maintaining the portal’s ease of use. Covisint will offer attendees a 10 percent discount (up to $7,500) off of this year’s enterprise price.
