Scribes STAT to Provide Certified Medical Scribes to Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Department of Emergency Medicine

Portland, OR – October 4, 2011

Scribes STAT, Inc. will provide certified medical scribe services to the Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Certified Medical Scribes will be utilized to provide real-time assistance with the completion of the patient’s electronic medical record under the supervision of the attending physicians in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Scribes STAT services include delivering real-time electronic medical records for physicians.  Physicians working with a medical scribe can significantly reduce the amount of time spent on charting, thus allowing more time spent with patients. Medical Scribes will be deployed in the emergency department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center which is a high volume center.

The students and recent graduates will complete an extensive classroom and on-site training program which will provide them with the necessary training and skills to add long-term value to Scribes STAT’s customers.
“The partnership between Scribes STAT, the medical center and local universities will allow us to build the strongest and most effective medical scribe program”, states Dr. Kathleen Myers, Founder & CEO of Scribes STAT.
