SAIC Senior Vice President Dixie Baker, PhD., is the recipient of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society’s (HIMSS) John A. Page Outstanding Service Award. Established in 1990, the award is presented annually to an individual(s) who has made significant, commendable and long-standing contributions to the Society.

A HIMSS Fellow since 2008, Baker will be presented with the Outstanding Service Award at the Feb. 22 awards banquet at the annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Fla. An SAIC technical fellow, Baker serves as chief technology officer for SAIC’s Health Solutions Business Unit. She is a recognized leader in information protection, high-assurance architecture, and health science systems, and has significantly contributed to technology standards for the safe and secure use and exchange of electronic health information. Baker’s work has helped enable the healthcare industry to adopt health information technology and electronic records, with confidence that personal information will be protected and available when and where it is needed.
